Attendees were invited to refreshments and a book signing after the service.
March 10th was AMAA Sunday. We were glad to have AMAA Chairman/CEO, Mr. Zaven Khanjian with us to update us on the ongoing work of the AMAA.
March 17th we were glad to have Rev. Dr. Vahan Tootikian and his wife, Rosette visit us during the Sunday service. Rev. Tootikian wrote one of the reviews included in Pastor Shanlian’s Book.
Services for Passion Week this year started with Palm Sunday. During the week there was a Maundy Thursday Supper and Service and Good Friday service. Sunday began with a Sunrise Service before the main Resurrection Sunday Service followed by a luncheon and egg hunt for kids.
April 22, we had a commemorative service, remembering 1.5 million Armenian martyrs. The service concluded at the Khatchkar.
May 5th was our Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea & Luncheon. We recognized our “Mother of the Year” Mrs. Azniv Sinanyan.

Our Women’s Bible Study Group continued strong every Friday morning through 2018. Their fervent prayer ignited a church-wide prayer initiative during the following months.
Rally Sunday on September 9th included a taco stand and a volleyball tournament as well as a water slide for the kids. The day marked the end of summer and the beginning of all ministries, including the new quarter of our children’s Sunday School.
A new Church Council was elected. The Pastor and the new officers worked diligently and prayerfully to meet the needs of the church and to move our mission forward.

Our quarterly Pari Lour Newsletter continued strong with 4 issues featuring articles, pictures, church news and events.
Our Thanksgiving potluck was organized by the Women’s Bible Study Group. The evening included great food, singing and concluded with a tree-lighting ceremony.
As part of our holiday missions, we collected new toys for local needy kids in partnership with Glendale Police Department and Cops for Kids.
Pastor Shanlian gave a children’s sermon and thanked kids for taking part in the Canned Food Drive held all month long in partnership with the Salvation Army.
We also supported the Christmas Joy Package project through the AMAA to bring gifts to kids in Armenia and Artsakh.
Our Christmas banquet was a celebration of the birth of Christ as well as 93 years of ministry. We were glad to have Pastor Paronyan (Sandy, UT) in leading our musical program as well as Rev. Ariel Babikian for delivering the key note address for the evening. Delicious food by Hye Cousine, raffle gifts, our MC, Mrs. Hasmik Minasyan and a festive Christmas environment made the occasion joyous.
We hosted a special Pancakes with Santa event for kids . The event included breakfast, crafts, face painting and a visit from Santa who read the story of the first Christmas from the Gospel of Luke.
The following week we had a Family Movie night with popcorn, hot dogs and drinks —featuring the animated movie The Star.
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
