Armenian Evangelical Brethren Church to Celebrate 100 Years with Centennial Gala
GLENDALE, Calif. — The Armenian Evangelical Brethren Church will mark a century of ministry and community service in 2025 with a Centennial Gala, celebrating 100 years since its founding in 1925.
The Gala will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the Anoush Glenoaks Ballroom in Glendale. The program begins at 5:30 p.m. and will follow the theme: “A Century of Faith: God’s Living Story in Every Generation.”
The evening will include keynote addresses by Rev. Hendrik Shanazarian, Minister of the Armenian Evangelical Union of North America (AEUNA), and Rev. Dr. Jim Smith, Director of the Pacific Church Network (PCN). Musical performances will be offered by vocalists Maral Parseghian and Anna Stefanidi, along with the ensemble TrioSynthesis. Karapet G. Galajian, Esq. serves as chairman of the event.
A special tribute will be paid to Rev. Dikran Shanlian in recognition of his 40 years of faithful service to the congregation.
The Armenian Evangelical Brethren Church began in 1925 as the Armenian Gospel Mission, founded by mission-oriented Armenian families and immigrants in the heart of Los Angeles. In 2007, the church relocated to its current location at 1800 Lake Street, Glendale, CA 91201.
